Mountain Velký Polom

Woody mountain (1067m) on a frontier ridge. Limestone log walls rise from the top edge of the ridge created by stone ice weathering. From the distant slope there is a very nice view of the Mala Fatra mountains. A natural reservation has been pronounced here with reminders of original nature wood. The pseudo romance chapel of Our Lady stands in the saddle between Velky Polom and the Murinkovsky hill. The chapel is from 1910 and has typical Walachia components.
